Why can I travel among Europe without be disturbed but not to the UK/USA where security is overwhelming?

Because the UKUSA complex have decided to subdue their citizens by scaring the crap out of them. The bold presence of police and security forces induce a false security and have not much effect on the actions of unsavory subjects. The biggest effect is to implement tools of surveillance of the general public, beat the marketing drum ("Look we do something for you"), and cause general unfounded panic in the populace.

Europe actually likes its citizens and leaves them alone to go about their business.

I have just got back from travelling in Portugal, Spain, France and England. Whilst the security level was high in the UK I was pleasantly surprised to find I got through the airport departure process far quicker than normal!!!

But why are you worried about these security checks?

Far more people have died in Spain in their terrorist attacks than in the UK and therefore it follows that there is just as much risk there than in the UK. The difference being the UKs checks ensure the safety of the people better.

Better a few minutes or even hours of inconvenience than to find you are sitting on an aircraft with a madman or a bomb on board.

Give the security people a break they are working hard to keep you alive!!!!

The US and the UK are terrorist targets now, and both have Fifth Columns who would like to attack it.

But really, it's only at airports. The rest of the two countries have less security than other countries in Europe. In the UK you don't have to carry ID with you at all times (try that in Holland or Belgium) nor do you have to register a new residence with the police or town hall, etc.

Because Europe is completely lacking in security as noted by the recent train bombing in Spain & riots in France & the respective govts' subsequent responses. Europe will not solve or get involved in the terrorist issue and will default it to the US/UK/Israel. Somewhat like what happened with WW2.

England is an island,America and Europe continents each protect their borders depending on their individual needs.large parts of Europe depend heavilly on tourism to provide an economy,can you Imagine Spain for instance without tourism over night it would become a third world economy.A question of swings and roundabouts.
Incidently Britains payments to the European community are larger than the cost of running Spains Economy.

If you go back & verify the history of relations between USA & UK, it wont be surprising to you at all, for the setup they have. American Independance itself is a treachery/treason to the monarchy of United Kingdom.

Being they are cousins, in terms of relationship, language binds very much!! Thats why French were backstabbed by UK during the territorial wars between them in America.

If popularity rating of the leaders, who rule USA/UK go down to alarming levels,they always conspire to create havoc across the globe.The recent developments on the part of travelling is just another example, how politicians can manipulate/organise events, which can change people's lives!

Guess Europe isn't feeling threatened enough to worry about you, my husband is a decent guy, Hindu,and proffesional, he gets stopped and searched at airports etc everytime we go away or return to this country, my 17yr old son is now stopped also, they were both born here just like me, but hey, strip them, me, you and everybody else if it keeps us safe. The only people who should worry are the terrorists, the rest have nothing to hide.

Because the US and the UK are prime targets and take terrorism very seriously.
The rest of Europe is too careless about it because they think that their policy of appeasing Muslims and doing their bidding will be more effective. Let's hope they will not have to learn by bitter experience.
