What you mean is Hbsag, hepatitis b surface antigen. This is the test for hepatitis B. If it is negative you have not been exposed to it within the past few months. But if there is any question, hepatitis has an incubation period in which it may takes months to show up positive, so get rechecked in about 6 months.
