They are like the terrorists. They are not dumb or they could not have destroyed the towers. They have just been heavily indoctrinated. The MDs have been so heavily indoctrinated in a drug philosophy, their own commen sense is shot.
Maybe not a brand new one but the experienced ones. Their spirit is totally broken, like when they torture people. They have to learn about thousands of drugs that supress symptoms but do not help people.
There is a brilliant MD (family doctor). At the bottom of this webpage it tells about a book by an MD. I read it. It is brilliant. The bad news is that it makes doctors look very backward and retarded. In the late 1800s the most common treatment of MDs was bleeding. They thought someone had too much blood. So they took out a pint. Still sick means still too much blood-- take out another pint. Killed millions. They got millions on Vioxx.

I don't know, but I've experienced it too many times that they just don't seem to bother even try to find out what was wrong. I know that each symptom probably has a lot of different possible causes and I'm sure it can be hard to make sense of it, especially if a person really has two or even more separate problems but doesn't know it's separate problems, but this is what doctors are educated to be able to do, to know what to test/ask to find out what's wrong or to know what type of a specialist to refer the patient to.
Sometimes I just get the feeling they don't try hard enough. Whether the reason for that is restricted funds or too much stress and little time for less serious cases I don't know, but it sucks having a problem and not getting any help with it.
By now I usually try to find information on the internet first to see if I find something that seems similar to the problem I'm having and then when I see the doctor I ask if it can be this. I find that helps a little bit sometimes, but of course such self-diagnosis is not always correct.

Sounds like you need to spend a little more time choosing a physician...unfortunately, there are some doctors practicing in the US that did not pass their boards, some doctors are very "old school" and don't read up on the new advances in medicine...ohhhh, if I could recommend you read the book, "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz, this will make the process of choosing a good doctor for you easier and save you money. Unfortunately, this is where healthcare is going which is why you need to find a doctor you trust now before you get really sick.

they arent 'dumb' , after 8 years of schooling in that one subject and having to get a C or better they sure as heck cant be dumb. the reason you ended up having to tell them to order those tests is because they most likely didnt find anything wrong with you in the first place to think those tests were necessary. and if it were a mistake then it should be forgiven , after all they are only human.

a GP is General Practitioner, he knows a little about a lot... A Specialist, knows a lot about a little. Focus on your problem and go to a Specialist. Information and proper handwashing are your best lines of defense...

I agree. I tell the doctor what is wrong and what I have heard about it and maybe I should have this or that test and he does it.

You know, if you found one dumb it doesn't mean they all are dumb. Try another. It's your luck. Like lottery. Good Luck!
