Most of the Arabian Peninsula (except for the Mediterranian Coastal area) is in Low Latitude Climate Group: Dry Tropical Climate; Climate subtype: Desert. There is a small area in Oman that is classified as Undifferentiated Highland Climate.
The majority of this area has a Mean Annual Precipitation ranging between zero and 4 inches (zero to 10 centimeters). Highland areas in Oman, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia range from 4 to 12 inches (10 to 30 cm), highest area in Yemen 12 to 20 inches (30 to 50 cm).
