I am or was a huge James Dean fan. He was brilliant as an actor, easy on the eyes, and so intense...it fairly leaped off the screen. He lived on the edge and was into his craft...and had a raw sensuality that still lingers, after all this time. I think East of Eden was my favorite. He was so poignant in it. Of course, Rebel without a Cause is a classic...and I've seen Giant at least a dozen times! Hard to say. Too bad we lost him so early.

James Dean did some of his best work in "Rebel Without a Cause." It was a great film.

I'll be different, I enjoyed them all, and since i was only 15 at the time dean made these movies i certainly related to "Rebel without a cause" but I think "East of Eden" was probably his best.. very hard to say that because he was so good in every one of them.. he died way too young

I live in Fairmount, Indiana, where James Dean grew up. We have a big "James Dean Festival": every year in the last week of September every year. I really can't stand him myself. I mean, really, he only made 3 movies. If he had lived, he probably would have been a trivial pursuit question by now.

Rebel Without a Cause
. . . so sad.
Sal Mineo was also great in that movie, as was Dean.
