The tests that will show something will be the urine test. That will show blood. And if they do a CBC you might show slight anemia. But, most womens HCT and HGB drop during menstration, *Due to acute blood loss* and doctors know this and do nothing. It comes back up to where you were quickly. Nothing to worry about.

It shouldn't affect anything for your standard lab tests. At most, your iron level might be a little low. Make sure that you eat well before the test (unless they told you to fast for cholesterol testing) and drink plenty of water.
If you have a day or two before the test, you might want to take a multi-vitamin, but other than that, everything should be fine.
Good Luck!

It depends what type of lab test. If it is urine test- it will affect it because the urine test will show a positive result for blood. If its a blood test taken on the arm (via venipuncture) and its just (CBC- complete blood count) it will not affect the result. -yunesa@yahoo.com

No, unless you're testing for iron, since this will most likely be lower when you're bleeding.
