the criticism aroused there, is, this song has some Hindu goddess praising words. if it is so, why "VM" had selected as a national song many decades back and why this question aroused now as it is to sing or not? All Indians should have a patriotic feeling whether he may be a member of any community. If you are not a traitor there is no harm in singing a national song. I would say every man should have a patriotic feeling of the country in which he is living, he may live in India, Britain, America, japan, or anywhere ever else. there we should not consider our communal value.

Vande Mataram is a National Song and every Indian national should sing it and sing it with pride. Religion should not come in the way, when you are getting food, water and shelter from this country.

It is a song (national an them) showing respect to the motherland and faith to the Nation. Any body living in India should sing the song and should not have any disrespect to the song. A question like this is against the nation. They should not think that they are not Indian and they belong to a third world. The stand of the BJP is correct. It is constitutional.

Vande Mataram is a national song of India & not a national anthem. Its not a compulsion to any citizen of India to sing vande mataram as like national anthem, 'Jana Gana Mana'.

BJP is a pathetic party in recent years, in which many of its leaders doesnt know the real name of Mahatma Gandhi-father of our nation, Inda. Its all politics here, trying to gain some attention!

Instead of wasting time on such irrelevant issues, its time our youth and politicians pour their heart into our nation's history. Its a pity that, majority of the youth in India doesnt know the history of their own country.

For politicians & BJP all i can say is, let them go & learn the fact that, its their parent organisation during the freedom struggle of India colluded with the British. Burning historical archives & twisting the history is what BJP all about!

First of all BJP has not decided it to force on Madarasas. Neither it has power to.

Government can only enforce its rules on the organisations which are funded by it.

And Otherwise Whats wrong with it ? Can you tell me?

Making empty statements without substential thinking but provocating people is called trolling.

Twisting history??? Well thats communist forte not BJP. BJP people does not have brains enough to manage it.

Its right and wrong. Forcing it is wrong. But considering Vande Mataram a religious son is wrong to.So the BJP is right in trying this to a certain extent.

No doubt about that. If you are living in our country you must sing vande mataram or simply dont be here in India.

well, in my opinion it is not right to enforce anyone to sing national song but if the people in madarassas think that they are indians as well as part of this country they must obey the culture of india & must sing the national song

There can be nothing wrong in singing it anaywhere in India or abroad. How ever in keeping with the spirit of the world's largest democracy this should not be forced. Those individuals who wish to opt out of the singing, for whatever reason, should be allowed to do so, without prejudice.
