I disagree with that idea because New Labour have only(!) been in power 9 years (May '97) which means that anyone over the age of 13 or so would have been affected by the Tory policies of John Major and before him Thatcher. I agree that the age of yobs is getting younger, but it is still quite rare for yobs to be under 13, so they are not "Blairs Children". If New Labour stay in power for a further 5 or 6 years, then the yobs of 2011/2012 will be "Blairs Children".

So Blair is to blame is he??Nothing to do with the parents of these yobs???I think you would never win a debate because we had yobs under the Consevatives too and would do so under the Lib Dems the Green Party and the BNP as long as the police have no powers against the youths running riot it will continue.

Probably. In the same way that children who were born under Thatcher's regime are known as Thatcher's children. And don't forget, they are the parents of the yobs, as you call them, of today.

yes. if there were proper punishments, and parents weren't penalised for disciplining their children, and teachers were allowed to discipline children at school, there wouldn't be such a yob culture and lack of respect from the youths of today.

I think it's more to do with the parents not bringing their kids up properly. The blame ultimately lies with them. it's not a government that raises a child.
Though there should be tougher laws against these little sh*tes, rather than these cr*p asbos, which don't seem to work !
