The earth is mortal. Life on earth could be wiped out by a single large meteorite. Fortunately, Jupiter's been helping us, catching meteorites with its gravity. But still, the sun can be a red giant(a very great star), and swallow Earth. Black holes are another danger. They can suck us up in seconds. So there you have it, we are mortal. But, people think that God would create a new and happy world, and there goes the cycle again and again.

of course the earth is mortal.

I mean, even if we do not damage / destroy it ourselves, eventually, in a couple billion years, the sun will have turned into a red giant (that's a kind of giant star) and will have become so large that the earth will have fallen into it.

and even before that happens, as the sun becomes much much larger, temperatures at the surface of the earth will rise so much, that life on it will become pretty much impossible.

but again, that's only in a couple billion years.

nearer term, it would be nice if we took better care of it, that's for sure.

hope this helps

Well,
Nothing in this nature is immortal except nature itself.
Everything else is mortal .It's like make & break cycle.
Time duration may vary.
Earth as a planet is a very very.......... very minute particle in this known - unknown universe.

There is a lot of damage but this earth is forever. When God created he created to last all time. No matter what we do to it God will make it right again.

The Earth will eventually die. Inevitable.

Our mismanagement of the biosphere will most likely render it uninhabitable long before that.
