Yes Lithuania, America, Greece, Italy, Russia and Argentina are ver good at Men's and Women's basketball.

I've only ever heard of America with Basketball as a highlighted sport. But everyone has the potential to be good, just depends on how much it's highlighted in the media

It is America for sure for their NBA championship matches, Japan, China too are coming to great level. As far as Lithuania considered yes I did read about them in the magazine for this sport and yes they will be reaching to china or japan next.

Argentina has just about the best team right now. To be considered the best, They are the team to beat. The U.S. team has a lot of proving to do right now. They had to many years of high priced players in there trying to steal the spot light. The squad representing The States now is a vast improvement due to their ability to play as a team. THAT's who I'm rooting for.

well you can't say who is the best, cuz there are so many, like i know in asia, where i'm from lebanon our team is considered one of the best basketball teams in asia,we won the asian cup several of times, plus our players are always being transferred into the major basketball teams like i don't know teams of singafore,america, britain, japan and many more.
so if you want to say the best in basketball try best in this or that place, it will be better
