Stress in all areas of one's life is psychological. We need to slow down and prioritize things. What is more important, working late or watching your son play baseball? Our American society is too fast. Too fast for our own good. Why do we have to work 8 hrs a day? Why not 6? We need money. Why? To buy extra shoes, cigarettes, more makeup, a faster car?
At work there are demands on you. Given to you by your boss and yourself. Be realistic and only do what you can do. There is no need to force yourself beyond your limits. If you have too much work on your desk, talk to your boss and co-workers and see if others can help you or if a deadline can be extended. I found myself not being to get the paperwork done because I was on the phone all the time. I ended up getting help. They hired a part-time person to answer phones in the morning. Lightenup up my load a lot and I stopped getting headaches and was happier when I left work at night.

Not exactly.
It's mostly caused by pressures or the volume of work to be done or by the people the person works with. Example, an assignment is almost due and it is still halfway to completion as if racing with time. That's when the pressure comes in and so is the stress.

NOOOOOOOOOO !
It;s not a psychological problem it's a "my boss is a jerk problem."
Stress at work is very real, not a psychologial problem.
How you deal with the stress at work can be the problem.
Uhm, You don't work at the Post Office by any chance do you???

I believe yes, because many people are raised to believe that work is not fun and it is hard and so forth!
To me it was for a very long time, but when i realized that i should just change my mental attitude towards work, and just try to relax, i found out that i enjoy work and is doing much more than i used to, and leave work happy!

If the only time it bothers you is at work and not at home then it's a work problem and you should think about doing something about it before it affects your hole life
