Well I have been here since March, and I have not asked ANY questions. Are you really that curious? I think the idea is to get you to answer some of the other many questions that are here, and gain some points, when you have more points, you will be able to ask unlimited questions, but they will still cost you points to ask them!
Answer some questions and get a few points accumulated then I think you can ask as many questions as you like, I have never really checked because I do not want to ask questions. Sometimes if you do a search (which does not cost you any points, you may find that someone else has already asked the same question you want to ask several times!
Good luck, I think they want you to work for your points and privileges. That's all (or at least that is what I have learned to believe.) Once you get to level 5 you can ask unlimited questions according to the rules.
Have you seen the numbers on how many of what per day for each level? Go to the "My Q&A" in the top right hand corner, and when you find your profile, you will see your points listed, and you click on the highlighted blue words that say "Tell me more" and it will tell you how many questions, comments, ratings and such you may have per day for each level, and it only goes upward after you have reached the next levels!
I have enjoyed most of the Answers I have been able to give, I would like to think that I may have helped a couple of people, and at the same time I had fun.

I got to Level 3 in the first 3 weeks, but I knew for every question I asked, I had to answer at least two to get back the points I lost by asking a question. However, if no one ever asked a question, where would we be. Just know for every question you ask, you lose 5 pts. and want to get them back if you are striving for a higher level.

why do you have so many questions to ask?
if you are keen to accumulate points, just keep answering others' questions.
