IMO, I have a very odd body type.

I have a round face with a short neck, broad shoulders and a fairly large chest (36C) for my frame...I often look "top heavy." I have a bit of a stomach with "normal" hips, but absolutely no butt(!!!) and short legs. I'm only 5'1" and a size 6/8 on the bottom but a size 12 on top. When I shop for shirts if they are too tight in the shoulder/chest area, then they fit nicely in the waist/stomach area; if they fit nicely in the shoulder/chest area, then they "flare out" in the waist/stomach area. When I shop for pants, the hips seem to fit but there is extra sagging fabric in the back of my thighs below my butt.

Does anyone have any advice for me? Some places to shop, what I can wear to minimize my shoulders/chest, what I can wear to make my butt appear bigger? Any help would be great, because I am sick of taking 10 things into the fitting room and only 2 fit!

Am I looking in the mirror? Get this, sister: I'm 5'1 +1/2. I have a 38D chest, size 14 on top, 6/8 on bottom, round face, short neck; all very similar to you except my butt does stick out where it's supposed to. I also have long legs, which helps my butt stay up & out.
This is how I deal with this mess~ (sorry for you, but I'm glad I'm not the only one!)
When I go out to errands I just dress casual. Jean shorts, tucked in t-shirt or stretchy tank. The tucked in shirt somewhat hides my apple shape and makes me look a little taller. Stretchy tanks accentuate my bust and make my tummy look flatter. Not that anyone looks at my tummy with my boobs above them anyway!
I also wear higher heeled sandals or flip-flops with thick soles rather than flat flip-flops.
For the office, I wear v-neck shirts that cover my belly, same color pants if possible to help me look longer and dress it up with long necklaces, earrings, bracelets all of a different color than the outfit. I wear my hair down or pinned at the sides to elongate my round face.
In winter I wear sweaters that cover my belly but don't hide my butt so I don't look shorter than I already am, any pants, and high heel boots~ very sexy!
I don't want to make my answer any longer, so I hope this lil bit helps. Good Luck! : )
