Here in the US, one way is to boycott sweatshop products. It could cost the consumer a bit more but it also helps out the cause, even if it's just in a small way.

Hello dear,
I really appreciate u for such a good question.
To stop child labour in reality, the government should impose a restriction over employing child as a labourer. And to remove the main cause of child labour that is, the poor children do not have enough money to live their life in a good condition. Along with imposing restriction the government should also make some provision for education of such childrens. It can get money frm donations to run such activity.
If this is followed, the term child labour will disappear from India.

the implementing agency has to be the police authorities for now as it is a law,it is mandatory to follow the guidelines and principles framed in the law,but the fact is it is too far fetched an idea, you cannot help the fact tht the police officials are corrupt, just like v say charity begins at home, people have to take initiative to make sure tht children no longr work for anybody,it us its we who can bring a change in the way the whole nation thinks and feels

I think its very very difficult.coz most of the child labourers are from poor families who can not afford thier studies. In fact they are not in a position to provide proper food to thier children. In that case only option is to put children in work so can earn thier living by themselves.I think free primary education and food can help to a little extent

u can not stop,if at all u do ,it will be sin and u will get curses from the family where the earning member is the child, many from the poor families will die of hunger... can the govt look after the families?...any scheme will fail because we know the mentality of the officers/clerks/panchayats who will fill their pockets... we have seen many schemes.. employment guarantee scheme is one example ...some one can throw light on more!
