very interesting question and in a way yea,,, i come from a background where there is a lot of conflicts with other societies or countries, and the only thing is, i learnt that people have nothing to do with what the government does,, its not fair to hate a whole nation for what a couple of people want,, so i've learned to love everyone , or at least, if i dont love anyone, then make sure its not based on their race, gender, color, religion or background

To be totally honest with you, I'm probably more racist now.
I grew up with other races and never thought anything about it. Not until I was in the service and the other races flaunted themselves around like they were king sh!t because they were protected by stiff military regs on discrimination.
I thought, "Hey! I don't give a crap what color you are. Don't be pushing your chest into my face or I'll beat your @$$"
Now its more like protecting myself from reverse racism

My father was a racist from Alabama. I could never understand nor tolerate his point of view. So, no I've never been a racist.

I never was, until I took a waitressing job in a predominately black neighboorhood. I was treated so poorly and put up with so much crap that I found myself saying very nasty things that were totally out of my character. I ended up quitting, and working elsewhere. I discovered it's not just blacks who are inconsiderate and rude. It's EVERYBODY. So yes, I guess you can say that I was, and now I'm not.

yes.. when i was very young, i was in the car with my grandma and my aunt, and i heard my grandma use a racial slur and my aunt told her "sshh, jennifer is in the car"
i am half asian and half caucasian, and when i was a child i believed that white people were "better"... as i grew up i was thankfully able to realize just how flawed that thinking was
