The one day matches between Pakistan and England will be going to be very tough and evenly contested. Since England has the home advantage and as they are used to the climatic condition there, they hold upper hand in the series

Match was abondoned due to rain. Pakistan were to score 159 runs in 32 overs (DWL method). But those overs could not be completed. Pakistan were 46 for 1 in 7 overs (Shoib Malik lbw to Chris Broad - the debutant)

the match was a bad one for the hosts who was sent in to bat by inzamam (pak captain). eng didn't have a good start as they lost both openers to md asif (3-28) and also they lost kevin pieterson.
but one man who england had trust on - and he was the topscorer of the odi - it was ian bell. bell got his career-best 88 which beat his 80 he scored against ireland in june.
bell had good stands with dairlymple but was run-out by shahid afridi.
darren gough & debutant broad helped england with a fine 29-run stand to cross 200 runs. but after rains interrupted, pakistan needed 157 runs to win (by d/l calcultions0). pak started but another set of thundering rain abandoned the match giving a tag of 'no result' and only chris broad took a wicket off the visitors.

i am going to't bear in mind any immediately. My answer will be India vs Australia, Sydney try 2008 = umpiring less than the scanner after some severe profile blunders. & New Zealand vs Australia = Melbourne ODI, 1981 = notorious underarm very last ball through Trevor Chappel even as NZ mandatory 6 runs.

abandoned due to rain....pakistan were 46/1 in 7 overs when play was finally called off.....had they been able to play for 13 more overs or make 115 runs in 20 overs they wld had won which was almost certain. So eng get lucky again after being declared victorious in 3rd test when they were in no frame of winnig that match

Match was abandoned due to rain, lucky for England.

Because of the rain, the first ODI was at first delayed and then abandoned. It's a pity though, it would have been an excellent match.
