As far as I remember, scientists believe that space or the universe, is either 'open' or 'closed'. An open universe is infinite in space and mass, you can travel in one direction for as long as you like but you'll never come to an 'edge' or endpoint. In a closed universe there is finite space and mass. If you travelled in one direction for long enough you will eventually come back to the same place. This is because space itself is curved and even though you think you are travelling in a straight line, from an outside observer, you are in fact travelling along a curve. A classic example to illustrate this is an ant on a large inflated balloon. The ant may think it is on a flat surface but if it travels far and long enough it will have circumnavigated the balloon and found itself back in the same spot. Even with the open universe scenario you would find it difficult to find your 'start' and 'finish' ;o)

We (mankind) do not really know the answer, for it depends on the facts the universe is based on (e.g. open or closed?)
However, imagine the following:
If you are on earth on the 50st floor of a skysraper, you can look in a 100 miles distnce and you'll see another tower there at the horizon. But this is not the edge of the earth, right? If you go there to this other scyscraper, you can again go up to the 50th floor and look another 100 miles into the direction away from the first point and go there and start all over again and so on ....
That way you'd get around the earth without ever finding an end or an edge .
And so is the universe. The only difference is, of course the size, but also the shape. Just don't try to imagine it as anything, it won't work. Just imagine it as something you can go further and further further and will never come to an end.

Well you worded your question very vagly... but heres my best crack at it... There either is or is not an end point in space. If there isnt then no point in talking about it but if there is then I would guess there would be a bunch of nothingness then somethingness and I would guess this process goes on for quite some distance. ( - - - - - - - - ) something like that with each - being a sub universe or something like that. or its like this 0 with everything existing inside the 0 and nothing outside the 0 not even nothingness... As if that makes any sense at all.

This is the one question that nobody really likes to think about b/c its a pretty hard to answer. Space is never-ending, it goes on and on forever. We are not the only galaxy in space, there are thousands of other ones out there, that might or might not have other life forms living in them. Its pretty freaky if you think about it. Space is probably the greatest enigma of our lifetime. We probably will never figure out exactly how big it is, if it even has an endpoint, and if we are the only creatures out there!

There is no end to space. Think it this way,
You think of the furtherest point in space, you think is the end of the space; there is a point further than that.

When I was little I used to imagine how would it be if the great universe as we know it would be just a globe or cub toy for some super kid.
And to answer your q, I don't think it has an end.

you could fly out in that direction and just keep going into the blackness forever. you would have to go much faster than light or find a way to spacefold. the light from stars has a big head start on you.

There is an edge, filled with rocks and clouds. Beyond that point there be dragons.
