This hasn't happened to me but my sister left her husband of 10 yrs. for another man. This was almost 2 yrs. ago and her husband is still willing and hoping to get her back. Also do you think it takes a strong person to be able to take someone back like that or a weak person for not getting a divorce and getting on with life. I think it would take a very strong person to do that.

When a spouse decides to see if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, they'll never stop doing it. As soon as they establish the fact that they can leave their husband/wife, and that person will wait for them, and will take them back, it'll never top.
I don't think this man is weak, or strong, but certainly he must consider the fact that his life is continuing to move ahead, and he is continuing to age. He may have decided that if it is not her, than he doesn't want anyone.
But there is no turning back time, and he shouldn't avoid women that may date him, and eventually love him, so he can stay true to a woman that has left him behind.

I believe that everyone is entitled to mistake thats how we learn, and I think I takes a strong person to except the fact that they really love someone that much, and ur sister is lucky to have had someone like that, but u can't change how u feel, u can change ur way of thinking. and it doesn't make her a bad person cuz she had a change of heart, and then realizes she made a mistake. Me personally if my husband left me, I guess it depends on the person, my husbans is not heartless, if he left me it would be becuz he couldn't control his feelings, I know it wouldn't be intentional, it would hurt me very much, but i know he would always have love for me in someway, and I couldnt hate him, as far as taking him back, yes i would if hadn't moved on, cuz that would just mean he realized my love was stronger, and he would know that, and never make the mistake again.

It takes a very weak person in my opinion. The person who takes someone like that back must have very low self esteem, be willing to be walked on, hurt, mistreated, and probably abused.

i think brother-in-law is very insecure and have low self-esteem.
if i was in that position, i would let my husband go. regardless how painful the idea of my husband leaving me for someone else...it's just a sign that it was never meant to be. i have too much pride to ever allow him back. plus, there are other people out there that would treat me better.
he needs to understand that the relationship is now tainted and nothing will be the same again. tell him he needs to move on with his life. life is too short or insecurities and low self-esteem.

Strong or not, I think it's a stupid thing to put your life on hold for something that may or may not happen. Her husband may want her back because he still loves her but why would he want her back after all that?

As a person ,we have a strong feeling to a person that we love,
at the same time ago ,humanity, rank ,status play as the power.
you would never wanted to be a loser,think not the strong person could do that ,it was must be some one ego be a whiner,
in everything.

i don't know about weak or strong but it takes an in love person and very stupid person because they should see the fact the other doesn't love them Plus the trust is gone and without trust you don't have a relationship. This is kinda gross too but i won't judge anyone Gomer in the book of hosea in bible did it.

Some people believe there's only one love for them in life and are willing to do anything it takes to be with that person, personally I believe once a cheater always a cheater but everyone has to make that decision for themselves

no affence but i think tht if her husband is stupid enough to take back sum 1 after doing that then he should be able to make his own mistakes and yeah it takes a very stronge person with a hard head

it could be either...... but in most cases I think it means they are a very strong person..... some ppl fall so deap in love, they believe or even know, that they have only one soul mate... as for your sister, she might have just got off the path for a while. lost her way, thought the grass was greener on the other side.... she may return to him, who knows, but what ever happens, it is between them...... good luck and God bless
