It can never be JUST the man's decision, simply because it is much easier for the man to abandon the pregnant woman. She needs to make the decision about her body, her life, her future, in consideration of how all of those factors will change if she chooses to have a child. Ultimately, she is more likely to be the person responsible for raising that child, particularly if the man does leave. Not everyone that becomes pregnant is in a commited relationship where both partners can discuss the advantages and drawbacks of having a child together, child support, parenting beliefs, and all of the other decisions that come up as you are rearing a child.
Since men don't have to have their bodies and lives changed by an unplanned pregnancy, they won't be making the ultimate decision about that pregnancy.

I think if the couple is in a loving relationship and they want to discuss options that is fine. But if you're just worried about how it's going to effect you (i.e. listening to your woman grieve for a choice she made or paying child support for a child that you fathered) Get over it. It's never gonna happen.
If you were too lazy to pull out or use precautions tough ****. You made your bed now lie in it.
If it was an accident then you need to talk to the woman about how she feels about it. Let her know what your feelings are about it and allow her to take them into consideration (if you're going to be in the picture long term). But realize that the ultimate decision is hers as it is her body and abortion is not an easy choice to make one way or the other.
If you have no intention of sticking around long term then you probably shouldn't be asking this question anyway.
Wake up dude we're not in the dark ages anymore. If you force her to have one against her will you SHOULD be forced to hear about it forever. And if YOU decide that she should keep it well, you should pay. After all, it takes 2 to tango.

The moment men get pregnant, they can make the final decision to deal with what happens in their bodies.
In the meantime, you can wear a condom. Every time. It is an act of love. For your partner, yourself and the children you may some day have.
You can also pressure the pharmaceutical companies to develop a birth control pill for men.
Other than that, you have to take responsibility for your mistakes and be a man.

The same day that the unborn child has a right to say "I want to live!"
Abortion is wrong. This goes both ways, if you aren't ready for a baby, then you shouldn't be having sex.
It's not just the woman's health that is in question during an abortion.
Think about it, two lives go in and only one comes out.
How fair is that?

Men usually get to have the ultimate decision when the baby is already out. Especially if it is a girl, and when she gets older becoming a teenager. Then she got pregnant with no one to marry her. Then that is the time men get to have the final say on the issue, as a father.

This is a tough subject.
To answer the question, I will say never. However, I think some sort of system should be devised whereby if one parent wants an abortion but the other does not the other parent would not have custody nor would they be financially responsible for the child in any way.

Men won't ever have a legal say in an abortion. Why? Because it's the WOMAN'S body. It's not technically your child till it's born.
Not fair, right? Well, life isn't, get over it.
It's not equal because men and women ARE NOT equal physically. We bear the children, and you just stand around. So are we ever going to have to consult YOU for an abortion or about having a baby? Hell no. Get over it.

When men can carry a baby to term, and then give birth to it, then they can make the decision regarding an abortion.

Never cause of the anti male movement that gives guys the shaft on every decision thats made regarding children. Not saying women dont deserve this in your scenario but I found it to be a good spot to rant
In addition: I find it amusing how all the girls say "the guy should just keep it in his pants" umm why dont you guys keep your legs closed then? Takes two!

No men should not be able to make such a decision. If you can concieve a baby then you should care for it. The only reason that anyone should ever have a abortion is if they have been raped.
