on ticketek, tickets are $139.90 for the red hot chili peppers, front section (chili bowl).
on ebay they are about $300 each.
the last time i checked, scalping was illegal. i could bid on one of these tickets and refuse to complete the transaction because there is nothing to convince me the ticket isn't counterfeit.
ebay really should get their act together. what they are allowing to happen is totally illegal.

Actually, on Ebay, they do have a mature audience section that you can sell x-rated stuff in. As for the tickets, I don't know. But what you said about bidding and then not living up to your obligation to pay, you'll get a strike when the seller files an Unpaid Item dispute against you. Too many strikes and you'll be off Ebay.

When i tried to sell some psu football tix the rule is that you cannot list the ticket for more than face value or a percentage of face value - but people can bid them up - b/c they are dumb A$$s mostly - and the seller can then sell. We saw that when we were trying to buy Disney World Tickets on ebay - they were going for 150 more than you can drive yourself to the disney store and buy them for. People always think they are getting a good deal on ebay.

scalping is illegal so thats why when people sell them on ebay there is always a little message that says if you're from the state that is holding the event you can only pay up to retail price

in my opinion scalping shouldn't be illegal...its supply and demand...basic economics, i remember when the xbox 360 came out people were paying $1000 for something that cost $400. that wasn't illegal, why should it be for tickets. If you have someone willing to pay double or triple retail value for something then so be it.
