G'day Vagg,
Thanks for your question.
That was a great video you posted about Pavel Bure.
He was a right winger and played in the National Hockey League (NHL), as well as for the Soviet Union and Russia internationally.
He won a bronze medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and a silver medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano.
Regards

well it seems your favorite player is Pavel Bure, and you didn't get the answers you wanted from us the last time you asked, because Pavel Bure could be in the top 100 best of all time but not in the top 50. there different times different era of players. back in the early days you had players such as Newsy Lalond, Howie Morenz etc.. between the 30's to 60's you had great players such as Maurice Richard, Gordie Howe, Jacque Plante and Terry Sawchuck. then the 70's with Guy Lafleur, Bobby Orr, Phil and Tony Esposito, Ken Dryden etc... then the 80's with Mario Lemieux, Gretzky, Dionne, Bossy, Trottier, Patrick Roy and the list keeps going on and on. Pavel Bure wouldnt last a season in the original six just the same as Gretzky they would get hurt cause the players back then where great and can hit and fight and never gave up on a play. so NO i dont think Bure is the best player ever not even close, i guest that's why you ask the question again just to see if anybody liked him like you do.

well if you at all know hockey you know how difficult that question is to answer and depending upon who you ask you get different answers. Back in the day the big name players that raised eyebrows were Gordie Howe, Tony and Phil Esposito,Bobby Orr, Bobby Hull. Obviously Gretzky and Lemuix come into play Gretzky more than Lemuix with so many record breaking seasons. I think though now in todays NHL the level of excitement has increased you have players like Crosby, Ovechkin, Kovalchuck, the list goes on. But these players so far have already raised the bar and made many of the current NHL record holders think twice about the fact that their numbers might not be so unbreakable after all.

No offense to your hockey knowledge but Pavel Bure? A 1 way offensive player who never won anything. Yes, he was exciting to watch but there have so many exciting players over the years who brought fans to their feet almost every time they touched the puck, Orr, Coffey going end to end, Lafleur flying down the wing, Gilbert Perrault in full flight, an entire city rioting over a suspension to the Rocket(the original one), Gretzky dipsy-doddling through everyone, Lemieux, Denis Savard, leaving all star defensemen shaking their heads. Bure was exciting to watch, I will give you that but he was nowhere near the most exciting of all time. Maybe in the top 10 or so since 1990 but barely in the top 50 since expansion. Watch some clips of Bobby Hull winding up for his slapshot back in the 60's , that was exciting, Frank Mahovolich in full stride, the entire line from the Islander dynasty of the early 80's had fans holding their breaths, Eddie Shack used to have Maple Leaf Gardens chanting his name . I could go on but you get my drift. My earliest memory of hockey was when Roger Crozier won the Conn Smythe in a losing effort against the Canadiens in the early 60's. Bure would not have even made the Montreal team of the early 60's. I hear all you Bure fans but when you consider Orr lead the entire league in scoring TWICE as a defenseman and had 6 surgeries on his knees before his rookie year in the NHL and had the career he had, hands down, Orr is and was the most exciting player ever.Sorry Gretz.

I'm with Bob D - Lets talk about Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Mario Lemieux and Gilbert Perreault then we might get to Bure.
I like the fact that the high light real has Bure high stick some guy from the jets in the face.

Sure, Pavel Bure was an exciting player in his prime, but you asked "Who was the MOST exciting player in history?" I don't think Bure stands a chance against the likes of Gretzky, Lemieux, Richard... the list goes on. Besides Bure was only good in his prime, look at him with the Rangers.

Ovechkin has had more moves in one year than Pavel in his entire career. Where is Bure by the way? He's not that old

Pavel Bure was fast but he was not exciting to watch. But hey, I learned something from you--if I ask a question and don't like the answers insult the people that answered and ask again! Thanks!
