I found a reference to his fiddling in Traditional American Fiddle Tunes. Seems to have been in conjunction with Stuart Williams. Combining this information with the sources for hard to find recordings, I'll bet you find one!

"SALLY IN THE GARDEN [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. G Major. Standard. AABB. Source for notated version: Stuart Williams and Earl Willis [Phillips]. Phillips (Traditional American Fiddle Tunes), Vol. 1, 1994; pg. 211. "

More on Stuart Williams:
Seattle fiddler Stuart Williams had this tune from Earl Willis of Springfield, Oregon, originally from Mineola, Missouri.

Stuart began playing fiddle in the early seventies, shortly before he moved to Eugene, Oregon. There he was welcomed into the local community of fiddlers. "They were delighted that somebody was interested in their music. For most of them, it was the end of the line for this music in their families that had gone generations back." Stuart moved on to Seattle and settled in to the music scene there, bringing his lively dance fiddling to contra dances and jams around town. He now teaches, privately and at workshops, plays as often as he can with the older fiddlers and documents the local tradition.

I don't know where you live but we have Rasputin records out here in the west coast and you can find recordings of pretty much anyone.

I've never used their websites but you should give them a try. I found a 12 inch recording (remember those) of the L.A. Dream team that I couldn't even find on the internet to download. It was awesome!
