It never fails that when a Far Left Wing ACLU Adoring Liberal Democrat is confronted with a legitimate question they almost ALWAYS respond with, "personal character attacks", "name-calling"; they cite past wrong behavior by Republicans to justify equally wrong or worse behavior by Liberal Democrats?

Why?

Why are Far Left Wing ACLU Adoring Liberal Democrats complete and utter Partisan IDEOLOGS and think only in those terms, refusing to work together with "whatever group or individual"
is in power for the greater good of America?

Why is ALL their anger directed at George Bush instead of the common enemy that faces us all, Islamic Terror?

Why are Far Left Wing Liberal Democrats perceived as having NO different or better policy re: National Security or the War on Terror or the future of Irac except to Bash Bush 24-7 to the point where they never mention the beheadings and other atrocities occuring but are constantly all ablaze about ther Rights of terrorists being held by us!

Dig a little deeper, The right has got their share of nut jobs too. I don't think you're really mad at Democrats. What you say is full of truth if applied to the whole polititical spectrum we are confronted with. The choice of Bush and Kerry last election was a choice of the best of two losers. Election choices since the fifties have been pretty much the same. Agreed the enemy is Radical islam. Bush fighting it with Nam mentality. Where is the president that will Nuke the enemy? Where are the generals Like McArthur? I see none. Politicians that realise we are in WW3 do not exist. Ressurect Harry Truman and George Patton if U can!
Load yer guns, we got Islamic terrorist running over a dozen people in San Francisco with an SUV and the press is calling him a mentally disturbed person. War on terror is not working. Terror wins when innocents change their lifestyle. Got your plastic and duct tape? How to change this? Elect a president that will close the boarders........TIGHT. Elect a president who will Nuke the capital of the next piss ant 3rd world country whose citizens kill thousands in our country. 17 of the 9-11 terrorists had passports from our good friend Saudi Arabia. We ain't even spit on them! Both parties won't dare say dog to them. We strip search yer granny at airports and any Moslem in a sombrero can enter from mexico. Problem is not the Democrats, or the Media or The Republicans. The gospel accorging to the cartoon character "Pogo" is we have met the enemy and he is us. We get the representation we deserve. About 30% of us vote regularly...........what the heck do U expect?

If you're just ranting, please take it to the Politics section. If you want a serious answer....

The entire reason that a democracy is supposedly a free and open system is that it is not supposed to be implemented as might-makes-right. The majority isn't supposed to just tell the minority what to do. Everyone is supposed to work together, and those who are in power are supposed to respect those who aren't.

You said "refusing to work together with whoever is in power for the greater good of America". If you say the majority walking over a cliff, would you just 'work together' with them to make sure everyone dies? Or would you try and stop them from committing a fatal mistake?

The entire concept if democracy and free speech is that is is from the input of everyone that we can collectively figure out the best course of action. Shutting up because you are in the minority defeats the entire purpose, and changes the democracy into an oligarchy.

You also seem to miss the point of Bush-basing. HE IS A CRIMINAL. He has admitted to committing thousands of felony offenses under federal law and hundreds of war crimes. Federal courts have confirmed this, including the Supreme Court. Why is is so hard for people to think he should at least he put on trial for his crimes?

You are right in that the minority is often PERCEIVED as having no different policy. That's because they never get a chance to promote it. Every time they come up with another solution, those in power shout it down and tell them to shut up. Dozens of alternative proposals have been made by minority Congress-folk, but they are never allowed to come to a vote.

That's the problem with partisan politics, when those in power refuse to listen to or work with those in the minority. You end up with a situation where neither side can work with the other, because neither side is willing to listen to the other.

Finally, as far as the rights of people (PEOPLE) held by the US, again you are missing the fundamental concept of the rule of law. They have never been given a trial. They have never been convicted. And our Constitution imposes limits against govt action in such situations. It's not that they have rights. It's that the govt has limitations and requirements. Read the 6th Amendment. It applies to anyone "accused" regardless of who they are.

If the govt refuses follow its own laws, and the majority refuses to listen to the minority, then we've stopped being a democracy and we've crossed the line into being the type of govt we claim to oppose.

I am saying this as a conservative and as someone who generally supports Bush.

I think that your argument is just as bad as the arguments of many liberals I see posting "questions." Not ALL far left wing liberals are doing what you are saying. Yes, there are some very immature people within Yahoo Answers. But, they are just a few bad apples in the midst of many people who dearly care about this country... and yet believe differently than you and I. Take a look: there are many conservatives that get involved in personal character attacks. It's not just far left wing liberals that are calling people names, etc. Both sides are guilty. To essentially characterize a whole group is incorrect.

Anyway. Enough said. I'm going to bed.

You're fun to watch! Can we face I think a bigger problem then just you going all left wing/right wing crazy on us? The reality is neither party right now is the best it could be. I get it you hate Democrats, please respect my right to think of Bush as a puppet being masterminded by his father, Cheney and Rumsfield. I know Republicans are sensitive right now, so go ahead deflect deflect deflect, anything to take away the largest deficit. Anything to take away from the debt that we are leaving our children and granchildren, please give me one minute to tell me why we got in Iraq. Our huge fight in Iraq? Is that against Islamic Terror? Like I said you're fun to watch

Looks like someone took the propaganda pill hook, line and sinker.

By the way, I really like the way you project the Rovian strategy of "personal character attacks", "name-calling" as a tactic of the left.
