While you could simply be having irregular periods, there are other possible causes of your symptoms.
For example, if you are underweight, your body may decide that it can't sustain a pregnancy, so it stops ovulating. This means no period.
It is important to have a doctor investigate the cause of your problem, and determine whether the problem is bigger than you think, or whether there really is nothing to be worried about.

You are just having a irregular period. When I was about 12 I started for a day and I stopped. Then when I turned 13 I started my period again and it never stopped. You are very normal, every girl gets their period at a different time some come early and some come later in life. I think it all depends on your body and what it's ready to do. You are lucky to not have one yet but just so that you know when you do start your period it want be normal for a while. I suggest you do a search and it can tell you more about the symptoms you are having.

If you haven'thad your period, I'm assuming your're thin. I am thin myself, and I didn't get a normal period until I was 15. It started out with random cramps and no blood, then I would just get a little blood every once in a while. Finally (also when I gained a little weight) they became more regular. I found that the lower my body fat percentage was, the more intense my cramps, and the later my period was.

I didn't start until I was 15. I thought that there was something wrong with me because "all my friends were doing it."
The first few were irregular and didn't seem too bad, then after about 3-4 irregular one it came in full stream. Just be patient and it will come. If you are scared talk to your mom and see about getting you an appointment with a doctor. Don't be nervous to talk to your mother... she was there at one point in time also.

The time to worry is up to your doctor, my mom got hers at 17, she was real skinny. You see you must have the right amount of body fat to start, but it sounds like your on your way. Keep a pad with you because you could start at any time at your age. You should not have sex because you did spot and you could get pregnant without a full period. Don't worry it will all come.

All I can say is that it's only natural. And, you might want to talk to your mom or dad and ask about maybe getting birth control to regulate it. In some states you don't need permission from your parents to do so, but tell them anyway if you have a good relationship with them so they don't freak out and think the wrong things are going on.

If you are not having regular periods by 14 you should consult your doctor. It is probably nothing to worry about but consulting your doctor is still a good idea in case it does need treatment.

Some girls for the first few years have irregular periods. It is really nothing to be concerned about right now.

The first one is a menarche. Adolescents and teenagers vary in hormonal development. Regular menstruation will come around soon.
