A human being - with real feelings, a soul, heart and mind. So many humans are conformists now which almost feels like a bunch of little robots all around - no identities or sense of self and I choose not to socialize with those people - so an actual robot would just not be the friend for me.
I don't think a robot could be a friend technically - a friend is someone who is there for you and understands you - who has compassion and empathy, someone you make memories with and have a future with - where things change in life and robots just don't have these things to offer. You may be able to make a memory with them and have a future but not in the same way. There is no feeling -- no humanity.

Well,I would choose a human,of course.Why?Simple.Humans had feelings .That 's what's special about us humans.If you choose a robot to be your friend,it won't really be your friend after all ..because it just won't feel the friendship love you have for it.

i would choose the one who has all the good character traits. no point getting a human being but that person is terrible. might as well get a good robot.

neither, u know what if in the future, robots have feelings, i might choose it. now it's not easy to find a good friend in this society either, yeah human have feelings but their never show, soo hard to be trust, so damn complicated to understand..i love animals more than human, even the dangerous and means types, at least they show the true about their nature, and you trust urself to know who u safe with.
