I don't know all the state laws in Ohio for child custody/visitation and noncustodial parental rights.

Unfortunately no. At twelve, the courts will listen to her views and desires, but it's never solely up to the child until they are around 15 or 16. There are alot of things that play into this. Such as the relationship she has with the non-custodial parent, the environment of both households and her general best interests. It may be a tough decision, but it's one that you should make for her. If she wants visitation, try it for a few hours at a time. If it goes okay, allow a day, if that goes okay, allow an overnight. Take it slow and see how it goes. Every situation is different and you need to do this in a sort of trial and error fashion until you are comfortable enough to agree to some sort of visitation schedule.

I think it depends on what state you are in. In Georgia, the court will listen to a child that is 14,but at 12 the child cannot make the decision.

in most cases at the age of 12, the judge will ask the child what or how they feel about certain issues..... it depends on the state and what the custodial parent agrees to.... God bless

It varies in different states. Typically starting at ages 12-14 can decide.
