That's not a great choice, Barnaby is narcoleptic, Frost is constantly on the verge of being fired and Peter Boyd, I don't know him very well but I'm guessing he plays second fiddle to that Irish chick. Can I choose Sherlock Holmes, ok he's long dead, but maybe some artificial intelligence could be fashioned from his books. Come on we're talking fiction here.

Let's see.
Poirot would arrest the least likely person, Columbo would irritate the hell out of everyone until somebody confessed just to get him off their back, Barnaby would wait until all the other suspects had been murdered and arrest the one who was left.
My choice would be Frost - You'd get an action packed, witty case-solving process interspersed with some good Saxaphone jazz fills.

It would have to be Peter Boyd and his team of cold case investigatiors.
It is always great to watch Waking the Dead, bcoz it can always be so pretictable or completly who u didn't suspect.
Claire Goose (DC/DS Amelia 'Mel' Silver) & Holly Aird (Dr. Frankie Wharton) could examine me & give me an Autopsy anyday.
The rest of the actors/actresses/characters are ace too.

Peter Boyd if i was "dunn in" in the uk,otherwise it would have to be Gil Grissom(csi),or Hiratio Kane( csi miami)or Mac Taylor(csi new york)- then again if it's fantasy Inspector Morse wins hands down.

The CSI: NY team as they seem very passionate people and get really into the cases they're working! If they can't solve it then the Cold Case team can take over, Lily always vindicates the dead!

wouldn't want Barnaby as by now the entire village must have been killed under his nose.
Of those 3 i would want Frost but the best one to solve it would be Columbo.
