I understand your question, but just remember, LDS supposedly learns the mysteries of God's ways "line upon line, precept upon precept" is this not true!??
Well, if this certainly is so, they will/would be able to understand an accept the fact that a person can be MADE gay by God.

I hate to Mormon bash - but I really don't see them as Christians. There is a good movie you might find both entertaining and educational. It is called "Latter Days" and is about a "gay" mormon.
As I skim through the bible, I don't see anything about Jesus condemning gay people. But he did condemn a whole lot of other stuff... like treating other people badly, misusing the name of God, not helping those that need help and so forth. If you want to be a Christian - it doesn't matter what your perceived faults may be - or your actual faults. There are many Christians who are thieves, liars, extorsionists and so forth - yet they are still Christians, they just have issues (don't we all) that they are dealing with. If "gay" is something that Christ doesn't like, I'm sure He will deal with it in that person, just as He would deal with a heterosexual who cheated on his/her spouse.
I hope this helped... but for the Mormon part - I'm a Christian, and I certainly don't consider the Mormon church to be affiliated with me in any way, shape or form.

Without a doubt, a Gay can be Christian. And I'll debate that with anyone.
Mormon? No. Mormonism is works based, they expect a cookie cutter image of their ideal believer. For those that really know the Bible, there ain't no such thing, we are individuals.

Yes - to Christians that is. Living an active homosexual lifestyle is a sin, but so is gossip, impure thoughts, coveting, etc. All sins are the same in the eyes of God. You can still believe and accept Christ as your savior while being a sinner. All Christians are sinners. You have a serious problem if you are not actively fighting this sinful lifestyle, but you will not be turned from Heaven because you sinned.

I am a gay christan. You can be both. I am happy, I am a good person, and I have faith. I do not care what other people believe, however if people criticise or discriminate intentionally or judge me, or question my beliefs, I have been known to kick up some dust.

yes, you CAN be both Christian and gay...I am, as are ALL my gay/lesbian friends. not all churches are close-minded. here in St. Louis there are many churches where we are openly accepted....as it should be! Christianity is about love, not hate! God created and loves us all!

I don't know about mormans. But I'm a Christian (but not gay) but I believe that you can believe in Jesus Christ's redeming love and sacrifice and accept him to become a Christian even if you are homosexual. The only thing is that you have to abstain from sexual desires. It's a tough life but then again Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for everyone and I believe that homosexuals are called to the same life of sacrifice. The main thing to remember is that God loves you no matter what you do, all we have to do is accept him and love him back and follow His ways.

i've known gay mormons, christians, jehovas witnesses. it all depends on your faith. mormons and witnesses love gays and accept them with open arms as long as you don't do ANYTHING gay (and they will be watching). some christian sects are very accepting of gays.
