I'm surprised you had the balls to call him mr.bush. That man deserves NO respect at all. Even if he actually did do something to gain a little respect....He still wouldn't get mine.

I don't think it's that Bush doesn't care about New Orleans, it's more that he really doesn't care about much except the Bushes and their firends. Politically, the Republicans can't afford NOT to rebild New Orleans - it'll get done, but 1 year is really not much time to completely restore such a large and historic city properly. The real issue here is the immediate response a year ago, and why it was so poorly managed. But with Homeland Security newly in charge of FEMA at the time, the screw-ups aren't surprising. But hey, after Bush's mismanagement of the 9/11 fallout, the 100s of $billions spent on retalliation in the middle east, the creation of Homeland Security (what have they done that the CIA, FBI, and FEMA weren't already in charge of?,) what Americans need to figure out is WHY WAS HE RE-ELECTED?!

Mr. Bush and his cronies have always abandoned the poor for a few reasons: they don't vote (or if they vote they follow what their church leader tells them, which is usually vote republican), they're poor and therefore don't help finance their campaign, and they're weak and hidden from the others.
This is a republic, not utopia. unless people take charge for improving their life and that of their family and neighbors, nobody will. The vote is what this nation is built on, if u don't use it responsibly (if u vote based on what others think or tell u, then u sold ur vote and u will reap the consequences). Yes, Bush and everybody else in politics don't give a damn about the poor because the politicians think that it doesn't matter. One needs to remember, that a poor man is only weak when left standing alone.

People need to get their facts straight. Bush has sent millions of dollars directly to New Orleans over the past year. If you want to blame people for failing the citizens of N.O. you don't need to look any further than the mayor. The federal government is NOT involved in evaculations. That is a state and local matter. It was Bush that convinced the governor to declare a state of emergency. To this day I don't understand why she was dragging her feet so much. Shall we forget all of the buses that were sitting in New Orleans? The local government had ample time to evaculate the citizens yet demonstated a lack of leadership that resulted in many needless deaths.

Another hate-Bush fool shoots of his mouth. Where is it written that the President has to be micro-involved in every aspect of American life? That was Clintoon. Why can't the people raise themselves from their problems? New Orleans was hit by a hurricane in the early years of the 20th Century. The only federal aid was some camp stoves. The city got rebuilt, didn't it? This idea that the government has to do everything is liberalism on parade. If liberalism is so great, why is the city of New Orleans such a disaster? It should be a paradise. Liberalism is a failure, and N.O. proves it.

Yeah, well how come the stupid mayor, (Nagan), of New Orleans got re-elected when he had full knowledge of and authority to use all those 250 school buses to help get people out... and didn't, hmmm?
(Talk about a jackass)!
And how is it that he has the audacity to accuse Bush of not doing enough?
As far as I'm concerned personally... those people now get what they deserve! Nobody owes them anything! All you people want is a free ride! Why don't you all get up off your dead asses, quit whining and get to work!!! ???

The true great city was a hotbed of corruption and vice. Your cops were looting a Walmart on national TV without even being embarassed.
I met a cajun the other day with a sticker on his window blasting your inept chick DEMOCRAT governor for the way she screwd around waiting for Bush to do her job.

It is not the President's responsibility, it is that MAYOR and the GOVERNOR. The President of the United States is NOT GOD. We cannot just say hey!, were going to rely on the President of the United States and everything is going to be A O Kay. so why did so many stay behind? Why did they not leave? The people were warned. I would have walked out of there on my own, before the flood waters came. I have to put up with tornado's coming at me, i do not stand there and watch them. I TAKE SHELTER!!!

the Hurricane & Flooding was catastrophic yes- i'm glad i wasn't there...But the people who were made the choice to live there, many made the choice to stay during the storm.
If everytime i open a certain door i get hit on the head w/ a bat...
i can quit opening the door OR expect to get hit on the head w/ a bat...if someone wants to live there FINE by me- but don't expect the rest of America to give free Hand outs to idiots.
MANY EVACUEES CAME TO OUR TOWN-- WITHIN HOURS THE STORES WERE BEING LOOTED/ ROBBED & PEOPLE IN THEIR HOMES WERE BEING ATTACKED. IF I HAD NOT BEEN OVERSEAS I WOULD HAVE SAT ON MY PORCH or ROOF AND SHOT ANY OF THESE SO-CALLED 'victims' that were Attacking my neighbors.

If you think you already know the answer, why post a question?
I'm sure none of the blame lies with the state of Louisiana, the city of New Orleans, the fraud committed by contractors, etc., etc.... it's all one guy's fault. You're not showing a whole lot of sophistication in your juvenile name-calling.
