mine were really irregular - sometimes 7 weeks sometimes 4. i used to test every now and again.............the way i found out i was pregnant was that i started feeling nausueous. i think if you are really irregular you could drive yourself crazy or like me you could spend a fortune on tests for nothing.

i am 13 weeks now

though the blood test is a good idea they don't always work. If i were you i would do this.
calculate out the longest cycle that you have had (the most days between periods) that year. then wait about 5-10 days after that. If still nothing take the test. If the test comes out negative and still nothing for about 3-5 days go into the doc and try the blood testing. Hope that all works out for you.

It depends on how irregular your periods are. You may have to go in for a blood test. You should also have your doctor check your hormone levels. Hormonal problems are the main reason behind irregular periods and if it is a problem with low Progesterone it can possibly cause a miscarriage.

I just kind of guessed when I thought I might be. No period for at least a month, tender breasts, nausea, sexually active in the right time frame... I was right 2 out of 3 times and realized by about 6 weeks both times. The time I was wrong I was under a lot of stress and had symptoms but no pregnancy.

hard to say if it irregular but try 14 days after your cycle to try to get pregnant and you can test with a blood pregnancy test about 1 week after implantation and about 5 days before your missed cycle with a first response test or at least 4 weeks after if you don't know when you r next cycle will start

I'm not an expert, but if you have irregular periods you should probably opt for a blood test at your local outpatient lab. That's the best way to be sure.

You could try a few days after your period is due. That's what I did.
