IF you want to be a Phlebotomist, I suggest you train as a lab technician. That way you can have the enjoyment of doing more than just drawing blood.

It really depend on what do you mean by "well", if you ask me phlebotomist make pretty good money since it only require a high school diploma and couple months of training. According to the American Society of Clinical Pathology most recent wage survey, the median salary for that region is around $12/hr. Salary varies depending on the size of hospital and type of facilities, usually large acdemic medical center pay is highest, while out patient clinic the lowest. It is very possible to work 2 full-time job as a phlebotomist since hospitals are open 24/7, therefore if you are willing, you can make quite alot money for a high school education.

that job is easier than nursing but you are still involved with the patients. the pay is not as good but you are not wiping butts.
