You don't have to stay in bed. Here is why I say that. My husband and I were not trying to get pregnant and I thought that by me going to the bathroom and peeing immediately after sex would let all the semen come out and therefore I wouldn't get pregnant. Well I was wrong. We got pregnant. Don't get me wrong we want kids and I did get off the pill a few months before that because we wanted to start a family but when I got pregnant my husband was on leave from Afghanistan and would only be here for 2 weeks. Needless to say it just wasn't good timing. But anyway to answer you there is no need to stay in bed or put your feet above your head after sex or any of those other silly things that are only gonna make your husband think you have gone nuts and laugh. GOOD LUCK with getting pregnant though.

There is no need to stay in bed afterwards. It only takes one sperm to get pregnant so it should have reached an egg by the time you finish and rest for a sec. so therefore it is ok for you to wash right after too! good luck

do NOT stay in bed too long after you have sex. DOn't go to sleep before peeing. Pee within a half an hour. If you don't you could get a UTI, esspecially if you're using the missionary position. Lay on your back, do whatever, but make sure you get up and clean yourself for your own health. Sperm swim perfectly fine on their own

I'm assuming you are trying to get pregnant? I have heard that you can prop a pillow under your butt to place yourself at a tilted angle and help the sperm flow deeper inside. I would say stay like that for at least 20 minutes or so. You can wash afterwards. You may want to invest in a fertility monitor. Good Luck

Maybe I'm weird, but I usually lay in bed for 20 minutes or so after love making just to enjoy the "afterglow" so to speek.
I have 4 kids. Got pregnant exactly when I wanted to. I did nothing special or different other than lack of birth control.
Good Luck!

More than likely 15 minutes, but if you are fertile enough it doesn't matter how long you stay in the bed the sperm will automatically flow to your egg.

Sperm is active, not passive. A couple minutes afterward, all the sperm have moved out of the *** and deep into you. After you get up, if you were to take some *** that dripped out of you and put it under a microscope, there would be no sperm in it.

Just lie down for like 20-30 minutes. There's really no need to raise your feet over your head. As soon as the sperm is inside you, millions (spoonful, as they say) of it are already traveling in the right direction. So relax. You may sleep with it...or not, thats entirely up to you.

It is recommended to stay in bed for 15 - 20 minutes. Put a pillow under your thighs. It's okay to shower afterwards.

If you want to concieve, the longer you stay in bed the better. When you stand up you can "loose" some of the ejaculate, therby decreasing your chances.

If you absolutly must get out of bed give it 15 minutes, 1/2 hour is better.

If you wash that's fine, but DON"T douche.

Good luck
