no way .. they dont seem alike .. .. im mexican and theres a lot of diference .. maybe just the color of the skin but the height and face is not alike ... mexicans .. are more like Spain+South america natives mix.. and thais are more like mongolian (not sure if thats the way to write it ) .. the skin of asian people seem to be more yellow and latin americands something like dark red .. eyes are diferent too
im mexican but im white with a light brown hair , light green eyes .. big open eyes so it depend of the region..

Remember Spain conquered the Phillipine islands...also, i don't remember the time period, but for a while, quite a few Chinese immigrants came to latin amer countries...sometimes now you will meet people from Mexico with semi=Asian last names even to this day.
