my niece has a dvr and she rent's the movie and uses the dvr. she has dish network.with dvr/vcr.....she want to know if she can record it to her vcr if so how......please help ..it will benefit me....thank u in advance

the above response is correct, but to be complete, the VCR inputs must be connected to the DVR video outputs. Some DVRs have multiple outputs (one for TV the other for a VCR). Some may not. Most have both s-video (4-pin small connector) as well as composite (yellow plug) video outputs. Use the s-video on the TV and the composite for the VCR.

yes she can.... I have the same thing....if she wants to record soething from her dvr to her vcr she just has to play the movie on dvr and hit record on her vcr while the movie is playing.

If it's a movie she rented, prob not, there's going to be copy protection flags in the video stream.
