Dreams are a goal not an ending. It is a part of life and we often have to alter our dreams as life progresses. We have to have a goal or dream to shot for, but it needs to be realistic and flexible to fit into what real life is about.

If we limit ourselves to a single dream we may well lose out on something even better than we hoped down the road of life.

If a person feels like they are prison in the feelings that means it is just their feelings. It can be corrected. I slept many years in a depression and finally fought my way out it. I had a dream too, but I learned that dreams can be remade and changed and that life can be happy, fun, and satisfying.

We have to look beyond our feelings and learn that if we focus on ourselves we are doomed. We must look to what we can do and what we can do for others. Our life is more important than you may realize. We affect so many lives on daily, weekly, monthly basis. What we say and do is important.

We can make a difference if we learn to have hope, humor, and help for others in our lives.

Do not do it the hard way, get help from friends, professionals, pastors (rabbi, father, etc.). You are NOT alone there have been many down that same road of life and can help you and in turn you will can help others. There is no better feeling that to have helped others.

There are several things you can choose to do:
1. If you found a strong base to which you can rely on, e.g. family, religion, values - or simply stubborn and gritty; you can try to endure the situation, like bracing against the storm, it will dissolve on its own eventually.

2. If you are an optimist or a visionary; try to build / find a new dream you know for certain range that you can accomplish, or

3. Try to view that scattered dream with different point of view, or smaller scale that somehow more achievable for you,

And, if you find the world prisons you, maybe you can try make peace with your prison, so that sooner or later figure out a way to bend that prison walls and turn it into your own domain. I believe that the real inmates, especially those who serve live sentence have first-hand experience about it.
Most importantly, always put on your good humor when dealing with even the foulest life may give against you, it most often helps lighten the burden.

Don't get disheartened think whatever is been lost is for good.

Why do u say u cannot accomplish ur dream? If u r really determined to accomplish ur dream try as much as u r determined so that u dont regret in future (although failure's probability is less when there is strong determination) that u did nothing acheive it.

I don't think all his dreams would be scattered...one needs to hope for the better, that's what keeps us going even if we are let down. There's no use thinking that everything's over...something will be left and only if we are determined to go ahead, then only we can make a difference to our lives.

dreams are infact dreams and most people foreget that. some are lucky if they can find or accomplish their dreams. But it's not the accompolishment thats most important, it's the lessons and wonders that are learned along the way that matter most. Becuase it's those things that actually shape us, not the actual dream.

on a different side, my husband actually believes that if you can reach or obtain your goal/dream then it's not set high enough. becuase even if you don't make it.. you will land far more then you ever expected

I would say that such a person is being overly dramatic and needs to calm down and get a sense of proportion, and then he will find that, like everyone else, he probably can achieve at least some of his dreams by making a plan and persevering.

Stop dreaming but think for a bright future. we should not lose heart when our dreams does not come true, try try until you get success. There are many ways to achive your goal in your life and so you can choose any one instead of thinking about the past.......

Not everything works out as expected in life, but then what would life be like if everything went according to plan? Pretty boring, probably. Bear this reassuring & simple truth in mind.

try to look for happiness in whatever one has acheived so far and to remain self content in whatever one can acheive in future i.e. not to make comparisons with others
