we have a system where without someone filling out the proper paperwork a doctor will let you die because he's worried about getting sued or put in jail
this actually happened to a friend of mine...the hospitol let her sister die because of some paperwork that hadnt been filled out in advance...she was in a car accident and the airlift helicopter took like an hour and a half to get there....this i understand, sometimes its impossible to avoid these delays....but her and the person she was waiting with (once they were IN the hospitol) were forced to wait....my friends sister was forced to wait 2 and a half hours before passing away because of a lack of paperwork...luckly the person she was riding with's injuries werent fatal, but i guess what im asking is...Why is our society more worried about the money they could loose if they mess up rather than a HUMAN LIFE

it should hit a nerve for everyone
and cause people to change and appreciate the little bit of time we have on this planet
and respect each other more
but it wont
maybe for a minute but then the thought passes right out of our heads
if we had more people like you who sincerely cared
we would have a much better world to live in

your asking if money is the issue and yes i feel in this situation it is,,,,, also feel that the care part of health care has been taken out of the system , Dr's take an oath they have to be providers of there trades and skills they have to use them to assure that they do everything they can to preserve human life in the time of them being needed , i feel bad for your freind becuase i think these values have been lost in the shuffle and everybody in this professoion is worried about how to keep there wallets heavy , it is sad indeed

IT'S NOT ONLY STRANGE BUT CRIMMINAL ....YOUR FRIENDS DEATH MAY NOT BE IN VAIN THOUGH....MAYBE THROUGH HER DEATH OTHERS WILL LIVE ...POLICY NEEDS TO CHANGE,,HER DEATH WILL BE AND SHOULD BE USED AS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW THE LAWS AND POLICIES OF THAT HOSPITAL SHOULD CHANGE............ You can thank the lawyers for that mess. Doctors are afraid to blow their own noses for fear of being sued for malpractice, so they have to have everything done just the way the lawyers have made them do it.
