That is a good question for you to ask, and it is a good question for those of lus who agree with you..

I do not know why so many people "choose" to be ignorant, and hate, and actually look for a reason to be offended by something, races, or issues, or something.

The people who are racist, and asking stupid mental questions, probably are copy cats, and they have collected ideas, and ideals based on things they heard fromm people they thought were "cool" OR even sadly more intelligent than themselves,

I bet, if it were possible to understand the mind of the person who is saying ugly hateful statements, no two people would be the same,, so what is Up with that?

When someone puts a question on yahoo answers like you do, i enjoy reading the answers because it reinforces in my mind that there are "good people" Like yourself and all the people who take a moment to try and explain, an ongoing unexplaiinable sad fact, that they are still here "the good guys", and at least that is one answer, you are not alone, and dont give up on what is important,
and whatever we all can do together, to support what is right.. is not a waste,, and will be heard by others like us.

its a generational thing more than anything. Notice this: Only older people bring up how nice it is that we can have friends of all different races and cultures. People of my generation (im 19) dont even notice it anymore. Racism and race based studies are going to go away alot more in the next 20 years i would imagine.

and it probably is the most sensitive subject. That or maybe somehting about homosexualtiy.

and its the political correctness factor that makes us look nuts. If somethings said thats marginally touchy in the rest of the world, they just dont care. Here, lawsuits are filed. Political correctness is so retarded.

edit: peopel dont bother with asians because theyre the only minority group that doesnt have habitual crime and poverty problems. More than anything its income based, not race based (poor white people have similar crime rates to poor black people, but poor black people are far more numerous, statistically)

I honestly think some people are just dim-witted and it shows. I could understand asking an honest question but most these racial questions I have seen are just downright mental. The original posters clear just posts it to get people a laugh and upset some people by their clear stupidity.

i agree with you ashli... some ppl seem to be obsessed with race-- on the other hand you have to understand that some of the questions, as stupid as they seem, may be sincere.. because of the ignorance thats out there..maybe its not always about conflict--but true ignorance-- just a thought

it's not just Caucasians and Africans, right now yahoo answers is getting inundated with Mexican racism too. Ever notice how no one seems to bother the Asians? Why is that?
