Thunderstorm Party?

There is a string of Thinderstorms coming up where I live and I was wondering what I should do to prepare for a party during the thunderstorms? (Like when the power goes out?)

Oh yes, we had those when I was a little kid. A good wet thunderstorm after a really bad dry spell almost killed our crops was a miracle.

Mom had made cup cakes and Kool-Aide. We got to run around in the rain. It was heaven! It was so dry, our grass had died and our front yard was instant mud. Five kids, running around in the rain and mud. Absolutely marvelous!

When the lightening started to come close, mom called us to the porch and dowsed us with buckets of water to clean off the mud. We toweled off and came inside.

Ohhhhhh it hit hard! The lights went out and the kerosene lamps came on. We gathered under the kitchen table as the thunder shook the house. We had cup cakes and Kool-Aide and lanterns. It was scary and fun.

Yes, have one with your significant other, put your PJ's on, get some comfort food, 2 bottles of wine, go into the bedroom and have a nice long talk or whatever, til the storms pass over..oops almost forgot..get some nice fragrant candles to burn til the lights come back on, if your not done talking then just shut off those pesky lights...

Have a candle light festival: finger foods, paper/plastic plates and cups. Non-spillable. Tells stories: haunted whatever.
Sounds like fun!

Oh whatever you do don't play make a foil hat and run out into the yard to see if you get hit by lighting.
Nor dare anyone to stand next to windows, use their phones: mobil or land lines, don't do dishes or shower parties!

barn fire and have lots of candles for the house... also have plenty of ice for the beer so it stays cold..lol... cant have warm beer...
