Gee, maybe while being disorderly you pose a danger to yourself or others. You wouldn't be a new ASU student, would you?

This may not be particularly pertinent, but I was once asked by a NY cop (and I've heard it elsewhere), "what do you think I am, a public servant?''

I happened to be somewhat lost and needed some assistance.

I wasn't then brave or quick enough to come up with a decent enough reply (to my own shame).

I don't know about Park Rangers, but I'd have thought that like cops / police or whoever, 'harassing of anyone' is against the Law... No!

Sash.

"Old man" correct and "ME" naive. Police officers can be good and bad. And sometimes both depending on their level of boredom. People do not join the police because their other alternative was nuerophysiologist. It is a job whereby the thickest stay at the bottom and the most intelligent become most divorced from reality hence the high rates of divorce, drug addiction, suicide and corruption (often a result of disillusionment). When one spend one's time with criminals and the lowest of society (in all meanings of the term), it affects one. I have both been married to a Police Officer and have worked as a mental nurse. When one spends one's time with lunatics, reality becomes a blur. Don't take it personally. These people are simply not mentally or socially functioning well. Try reading "Getting Busted" a collection of stories edited by Ross Firestone (that is probably out of print) if you can get hold of it, and you will see it's nothing new. Failing that try anything by Tim Leary, Lenny Bruce, Billie Holliday, Abby Hoffman, Ken Kesey, H. Rap Brown, Oscar Wilde, Thompson, D.H.Lawrence, Joe Orton, Huxley(father and son), Orwell, Kipling, W.H. Auden....etc..the list is not quite, but getting endless or if not quite endless difficult to read in a lifetime.

particular they do, yet it is the element... probable reason on a fishing violation could be purely wearing a rod or having a cooler... probable reason for checking your cooler will be wearing a rod... when you're fishing and also you're meant to have a license, you extremely must have a license, get a flora and fauna officer who's a rookie attempting to teach himself, and in maximum aspects they could confiscate each little thing that had something to do with the flora and fauna violation, as a lot as and including this way of transportation you used to get to the region of the violation.

Most cops harass because of their low self esteem. That's why they became cops in the first place, to feel important. The best defense against these people is to know the laws. Cops don't know the laws very well. It doesn't take much to know more than they do. Learn how to build a case against them that will stand up in court. Just as soon as you start getting harassed, start building your case. They aren't very smart but most of them are smart enough to know what you're doing and to know that what they're doing is illegal. Most of them will just stop. The ones that don't, build your case and file charges. Just make sure you can win. It worked for me while I was trampin'. I never did have to actually file charges. Some cops got kicked off the force simply because of my threats.

If anyone harrasses you, you need evidence, then you report them to their superiors. If that doesn't work, you speak to a solicitor.

What do you mean "harass"? They are doing their job so just obey the law and you'll be fine!
