You gotta be a of legal age. 18. Unless your parents consent to you getting a tattoo. make sure it is a tattoo you really want. you have it forever unless you wanna fork out the dough for laser surgery.

depends where you go, go downtown Brooklyn, new york and show em' money they will do even if you 10 but if you go somewhere else like long island or like you say you city it should be 16 to 18 depends on you local laws.
