my computer has asus mother board, Gforce graffics card, and it runs on xp professional
light is not comeing correctly in the monitor as it seems it is fluctuating, due which colour comeing some time deep and sometime mild
and one thing i tell you i have a ups

was the color right at one point? if so you can do a system restore and go back to the date it was fine....

Sounds like something is going out on your monitor. Test your computer with another monitor and see if it does it. If it still does it then you may need a new video card. Try to reinstall the video card driver and check the card to see if it is firmly in place in the agp/pci slot, and the monitor cable attachment at both ends.

try to hibernate once or twice using control buttons on the monitor.. if it doesn't work may u need to reinstall the display driver.. also check out the power connections...

this may happen if you keep your UPS or your speakers too close to your monitor
try to keep away those
also keep away tv &tape recorders from the monitor
it may also happen due to voltage fluctuations
or damaged switch boards

there is a problem with your monitor's data cable. one of the pin of your monitor's data cable may be broke.
