You need anti-virus software! Download, install and update AVG Anti-Virus - it's free and can be found here - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/tools_anti_virus.html
It's easy to install and use - to read about how to install AVG go here - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/how_to_install_avg_anti_virus.html
Then start the computer is Safe Mode - (usually this is accomplished by tapping the F8 key on your keyboard while the computer is starting up) - read more about starting a computer in Safe Mode here - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/how_to_start_in_safe_mode.html
Then run AVG and do a full system scan, let it find and remove any viruses it finds.
One other thing too, if you are running Windows XP, you should also remove your System Restore files. Viruses love to hide in them. To learn how to temporarily disable System Restore see this page - http://www.vermontpcsolutions.com/disabling_system_restore.html

make note of the location of the virus. restart your computer and boot into safe mode, press F8 as the computer boots, when in safe mode goto where the virus is located, and delete, make sure you empty your recycling bin and reboot, run your virus scan again. repeat as necessary. also note if the virus is in your system restore files, you might have to totally delete the volume information because it can repropgate itself on boot.
The reason that even the best virus programs can not remove some viruses is because they are currently executing (in resident memory) by going into safe mode they will not be in the memory.
Using system restore does not delete the virus from your computer!!!!

Depends on the virus. Most have an antidote of some sort.
You can also run various types of antivirus software, some of which is free. Windows Update also has patches that work pretty well for many viruses, but not necessarily all of them.

Whatever you do, don't run multiple anti-virus software at one time on your computer--that's asking for trouble. Spy sweeper works really good for spyware removal and I'm not yet sure which is the best anti-virus software. All I know is stay away from Norton. Try looking up "anti-virus reviews"

Several ways but the best is invest in some security software and tools such as Norton and Registry Mechanic to find and repair. The best solution is to prevent so any tool like Norton or Symantec tools will save you a lot of grief. And if all else fails you can hire someone like me to recover whats left of your data and repair your system. The tools are cheaper!

hi,perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.
i also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

Best Wishes && Good Luck!

Most antiviruses automatically remove avirus if they detect it. If u dont have an antivirus , then download from any one of these 2:
1,Avast(www.avast.com)
2.AVG(www.grisoft.com)
Both are completely FREE! You can also activate a firewall(www.zonealarm.com) to keep viruses at bay!

1. Try an online virus scan
housecall.trendmicro.com
or
www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
or
www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
or
security.symantec.com/sscv6/home.asp?langid=ie
2. Take your hard disk out of your case, connect it to another computer that has an up-to-date antivirus, and scan/clean it from thier.
forget to say that before you can scan from online, you must disable the system restore
