Am looking for air tools that will let me cut off cytalistic converters on junk cars. I have an air conpresser on truck.. we are independents that recycle cars and need something easy to manuver under junk cars often on jacks, car stands, or car trailers. will even look at hand tools.

A pneumatic cut off wheel, will work for removal. They are not that expensive, and can be held in your hand!!

Around here, stealing Cats, and reselling them for the metals inside is all the rage. They usually just hack saw the things off in a fit of drug induced euphoria. Unfortunately this is becoming a problem, so the places that buy them are being scrutinized very heavily by the Law. Other than the hard way there are many legitimate methods of removing them. Usually you can hack Saw through a piece of muffler tubing above or below the Cat in a few minutes.

There is a tool for use in an air hammer that works better than anything else. I have used them all. It looks like a star chisel w/ one of the blades cut off of it. I'm not quite sure how to show you to make one on here. I made mine and it is faster and easier than using a cutoff wheel or a blade. They used to be called muffler spliters.

Just get an air powered cutoff tool. They have a wheel that cuts pipes like a hot knife to butter. Walmart or your favorite hardware store sells them.

One more thing, use the spell checker. You meant to type 'catalytic' not 'cytalistic'. No doubt you are going to catch some wisecracks on that one.
