How do you get over someone who you fall for more than anything....who you would do anything for....get over them. Its been over three years and i cant seem to let go. I compare everyone i date to them and no one measures up. All i dream about is that he is still thinking of me too. I just want to be with him. how do i get over someone?

I really understand because its been about two years for me and It seems like I miss him more and more each day.Despite all the bad I still care about him more then anybody I have met and I wonder will my love fade . I think time is what is the cure, no one could ever replace the love you have for him so don't even compare. Yeah I think he thinks about you, and probably y feels the same but try to stay strong and I know its hard to move on but just take it one day at time and I will keep you in my prayer's because we all have been there. The truth of the matter is no one will compare to the one you really loved. At the same token you will never see the good qualities in the other men you date if you keep comparing them to him. Why not give the others a chance? You can't expect them to be him because they will never be, but you have to see the good in other people too because they have something different to offer. No two people are alike. You didn't say why you broke up but maybe what you need is a closure once and for all, so that you can move on with your life. If you can contact him, why not do so and get some closure to it.

A worse scenario than the one you're already living, is the what if scenario ..... It's good that you're not fooling yourself & that you're admitting to the facts (that youy are on love). But on the otherhand, if after 3 years nothing has brought you two back togeather, I don't see it happening ... so swallow the pain ... and take each day as it comes ... don't shut people out ... maybe one day you'll meet someone who'd just make you look back and think (how did I think that that was love?!)

I've felt that same way since 7th grade over a certain boy. I'm now married to someone other, but constintly think "What if." I always think of these situations as soul mates, but he just got married last month. I can't ge t pasted it either, so if you find the right answer please tell me!

Take an old photo of the person and look at it and say firmly, "You no longer have control over me." Say it three times each day until you start to believe it.

the reason nobody is measuring up to this person is because you are not giving them a chance cuz you probably think that theres no one in the world like him but trust me i was in this same situation and THERE ARE bigger better fish in the sea.

sounds like you are down to the last resort thing..... ok, try this....... make a list of his BAD points..... be honest....... no man or woman is perfect......... why are ya'll apart ?? then go from there....... and maybe you do need help with this..... you can not move on until you let him go...... seek help if you have to... do NOT be ashamed ........
