2 years is a good bit of amount invested so don't give up now - if you have a date that is a positive thing - when he is ready he will make his move - Marriage is a huge step and if you feel like you need a ring for the sake of having one - he isn't the one for you. If you love him - truly love him then stick with him - it will happen if it is meant to happen. I know that may sound harsh, but I don't mean for it to be - it just comes from alot of heartbreaks, being naive when I was younger - and experience.

When my hubby and I were talking about marriage and such, I refused to make any plans till I got the ring...I didn't want to book halls, churches etc with no concrete plan (ring)Once I had the ring I went crazy and we had a gorgeous wedding. May 7 is coming close...places ususally need a year in advance reservation, if you're comfortable with making plans for the wedding, go ahead and make them, but if you still get no ring...everything is booked and you're still responsible for the bill

Don`t get a ring, whats the big deal about a ring? Is your LOVE material? My lord why is it women think men have to prove their love by spending loads of money on them? get a cigar, take the band off it and use that. as long as you love each other, and your together, what does a stupid ring, that cost so much money have to with you getting married, it don`t mean he loves you more just because you get a ring. nor less if he don`t get you one.

You should emphasize how much you would really like a ring. It's not petty, it's traditional and normal to get an engagement ring. Don't bother him with it, but he should get you one SOON...If he doesn't ever get you one, well then, I'd lose him because he cannot get you your needs.

Dont rush him you dont want to scare him by being so pushy.
If you are going to spend the rest of your life with him what does it matter if you heve to wait a couple more months for your ring.

Did he ask you to marry him? Because where I come from no ring, no wedding date, no engagement.

Nothing yet your man could be trying to surprise you. I don't know his finacial situation, but he could be saving up for it. Give the guy a chance at least you have a date.

Tell him you are planning and preparing for your wedding. If he said "hey I have not proposed to you yet", then you say "yes, why is that so? do you want me to be an old bride?, are you waiting for me to turn 40 before you propose?"

Just sit back and wait for him to decide the rest of your life. DUH!
I can just hear you 10 yrs. from now, "My husband said we were going to get a new car I'm tired of waiting and tired of taking the bus what do I do?"

he asked you to marry him with no ring? then don't plan on getting one....sounds like someone (him) is playing both sides...he wants to keep you but doesn't really want to commit
