I have made a great mistake. Our main purpose was to give freedom to a multitude of oppressed people. But our method of action has created worse evils and horrible massacres. You know that my deadly night mere is to feel that I am lost in this ocean of blood, coming from innumerable victims. It is too late to turn back now,but in order to save our country,Russia,we should have had ten men like St. Francis of Assisi, with ten such men we would of saved Russia--Alleged last words of Vladimir I. Lenin.

Frankly Americans and especially those in the midwest and South seem to think that everyone who is different than they are is a "Commie". The word has been abused. I lived in Kansas City, Colorado Springs, and other areas and in each of those places if you didn't blindly follow the ultra-conservative party line then you were called "commie" and "traitor". factually then, according to those definitions, a majority of americans are commies - if you add up all the gays and Lesbians, all the liberals, democrats, independants and progressives, and anyone else who believes in anything other than Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Pat Buchanan, and The Bush family then you must be a commie. Therefore you're outnumbered and the only way you're ever going to appear to have a balanced perspective is to avoid the use of the term "commie" altogether and hate people for just being different. Calling them a commie only identifies you as someone who is ignorant, intolerant, uneducated and generally hateful person.
The problem with LABELS like COMMIE is that it reveals something basically Unamerican about the person who uses that Label so readily... and with so many people abusing the term and so many of them quite obviously not too bright, it's a shame and a blight on America as a whole that someone even thinks "commies in general" is an actual subject meriting discussion. Just ike Divorce and abortion, calling someone a Commie is the simple-minded easy way out of thinking openly about how differently people may see the world around them.
I doubt you'd know a real commie if you met one. There really aren't many truly communist people in America but there's hundreds of millions who'd fall into that category using the definition I think you're using.

Communism will be the beginning of civilization.
Don't let Stalin, Castro and Mao fool you. they're not Communists, they were dictators.
Communism is an order of society where the means of production and distribution belong to no-one, is a money and cashless, religion-less, nation-less, world wide society where labor is totally voluntary and everyone has free access to food good and services needed to the well being. No such "don't eat who don't work".

Communism is like Islamo-fascism.... they hide behind women and children in a time of war.
Communism will never work, it severely neglects the individual, one person means nothing to socialists or communists.
Communism enslaves the people who are ignorant enough to think it will work for them and not get out of hand.
Communism benefits only the elitist class, the leaders of the system.
Communism, like Islamo-fascism, demands brainwashing from childhood to be fruitful, the problem is...... the fruit is ROTTEN to the core.
Communism, like socialism, must have someway to STEAL from the very society it is supposedly governing.... enslaving would be a more acceptable term than "governing" to describe what communism does for a society.
Communism demands that ones allegiance is to the state above all else, even family. Its slaves must be snitches and have absolutely no compunctions about turning in a family member who criticizes the state.
A communist government, like an Islamo-fascist government, will kill its own people, it will lie, break treaties, rewrite history, and anything else to keep its power... and further its filthy cause.
Communism does not allow dissent or real freedoms.... nor does it allow an acceptable amount of rights.
Communism, like Islamo-fascism, is basically corrupt..... both are ideologies that benefit only the ruling class.
Communists, when in power, have shown little regard for human life.... they will kill as many people as necessary to remain in power. History has shown that every communist society has suffered in this way, and many communist countries murdered millions upon millions in order to establish their ideology. RE: Communist RED china, Russia, Cambodia, The soviet union.... Vietnam.... the history is there.
WHY go on..... commUNism just plain SUCKS.... check out Karl Marx and Fredrick Engles.... warped beyond belief......
Independents allow themselves to see both sides, truth and lies, and would never accept the label of communist....
The Democratic Socialists USA would and do.... they are proud of their communist roots.... they do not give their allegience to the USA, it is given to the Democratic Socialist Worldwide org. They are known in Congress as the "progressive caucus"... sick people doing sick things in our government.

In theory it's the perfect system. In practice, it's sabotaged by human greed and corruption.
Also, TRUE communism is Marxism. The Stalinism, Maoism and Castrism are NOT communism but dictatorships disguised as communism.
Totalitarian regimes are doing communism a disservice, because they kill the very philosophy of communism.
Communism rewards workers by giving them a share of the profits. But the way it was implemented, it only rewarded the communist party.

Evil.
Their track record says it all. Humanist progress must be defended against them.
As a means of cooperation among a very small number of people, like fewer than 50, communism works.
As a political system in which some folks take on the responsibility (and power) of redistribution of wealth, it can only become absolute tyranny.

Communism is a wonderful idea, if only people would work a little bit harder getting it to work. The fundemental idea of communism is the community sharing equally and supporting each other.
Don't let Josef Stalin fool you, he was no communist, Communism is the government protecting the interests of the people, not protecting the interests of Stalin.
