The first days of class activities for kindergarten, primary, middle, or high school classes are those concentrated on classroom procedures expected by the school and teacher. Consequences for not following procedure must also be developed, and carried through, by the school and teacher.

Drill, drill, drill, your students on classroom procedure. Drill them to the point that if you do have to be gone from the classroom for even a minute, the class will continue "on task".
