So far, from what I've heard, XM and Sirius do not have much difference in music. XM right now is winning in my decision because of the Cinemagic station which plays movie soundtracks. As far as my listening preferences go, I pretty much just listen to Metal, Punk and Rock. The news and comedy channels would probably take up some of my listening time as well, but that's about it. Any suggestions based on my preferences?

I love my Sirius. I wouldn't get anything else. As far as comedy.. there are LOTS of channels on Sirius to choose from. They just recently added a Blue Coller Comedy Channel. They also have the Raw Dog Channel and the Laugh Break channel. Of those three I prefer the Raw Dog channel... they have a good vareity of comics... and they keep the sets short so you only get the best :) As far as the metal, punk, and rock.... you have so many to choose from. There are like 18 rock channels alone. Here is a list of the channels offered on Sirius... http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/CachedPage&c=ChannelLineup&cid=1139320914821 I know you said you didn't care about Stern (the reason I bought the Sirius initially) but hes got some great stuff on his channels... also, the Playboy channel is good. Plus the football and the news... Sirius is great :)

I've had XM for a year now and its great !! Four million channels (sarcasm, of course) to choose from and you can preset bands/artists and it will alert you when they're on ! But lately I'm having problems getting reception around town. It gets really bad at night, so I'm thinking about dropping it. Just as a note of interest - the 90's channel is my favorite !! And Oprah is getting her own channel in September !
