I don't personally agree with it but I'm not u if u r happy and he treats u the way u should be treated (like a Princess) then so be it.
Racism plays in interracial relationships all the time just a fact of life just be prepared for the bad (as unfortunately that's life and u will be criticized for it) by whites and black alike!!!!
If ur Happy forget what others say and live ur life and be happy. Good luck

Love is Love no matter what race and culture. As long as u love him and thinks he's right for u then it doesnt matter. Your mom might not agree but if she sees u too together and how he makes u happy, believe me inside she'll be real happy for u. I have the same problem being nigerian im expected 2 marry nigerian. but at the end itll have 2 be what is good for u. Remember when all else fails LOVEalways.

The colour of someones skin should not be the deciding factor in wether to get married or not. If you allow your mom to dictate who you marry, she'll be dictating your entire life, for the rest of your life.
My advice to you is live your own life and make your own decisions.
Marry someone who treats you like a queen, with respect. Someone that u can talk to and who makes you feel loved.....regardless of the colour of thier skin.

I want to be real with you, I'm african american and it eats me up inside when I see a black man with a white woman. I don't know why. All I have to say is, If you love him (regardless of race) it shouldn't matter what ANYONE thinks, Follow your heart. Eventually your mom will accept the fact, it will just take time.

I believe in love. If you are old enough to recognize true love, that is all that matters. Whether or not it is a "good idea" is not computing in my brain. If you mean that you are going to alienate your entire family then you must be prepared for that and accept it before you marry.

just tell her "at least he is a human" Color doest not make ones character . If you love him and he makes you happy there shouldn't be a problem. Sorry to hear that your mom is the problem... I would hate to hate in that kind of way, being blind to the beauty of humanity.

The question to ask yourself is do I truly love this person.
Never mind what others may say or think.
This is your life.
Remember you can't go back.
A parents love should be unconditional.
She's had her happiness, now its time to let you have yours.
Best of luck to you.

you will soon need to start a family of your own, and your mom will just have to accept your choice. Don't let this stress you out, which it probably is, don't let your partner feel discourage in coming into your life because of your mom.

It sounds like you have second thoughts any way, but I don't look at race when I love someone or in any case, colour is just surface not skin deep. ; )

please check the real reason why ur mom dont want u to get involved with a black guy (if this is just one particular black guy??) because it might not be because this guy is black but because of certain reasons (like this guy's attitude).. if her reason is that she just dont like u getting involved with ANY black guy then i guess its the time to decide for urself (i.e if you are already in legal age)
