If you could relive a single day from your past exactly as it was (without changing your future), what day in your life would you relive?
Oh, and the present day you trade in would be the most boring 24 hours you could ever experience.

soph_the_soph, I'm gay, I like asking questions here because the gay community is here. Anyone who accepts LGBT people is part of the community. It's pretty simple, really.

The day I realized that it was okay to be gay. It was also the day I met the love of my life.

My kid brother and I had a wonderful weekend last December. Sinead O'Connor (my longtime female celebrity crush) was playing Webster Hall in NYC. My brother also loved her music, and had never seen her perform live. He came up here from Orlando for it.
After a truly awesome concert that left us feeling electrified, we talked for hours while he drew and I beaded with lovely new silver beads that I'd gotten in the mail. We talked about *everything*.
The next morning, we took a train to Washington DC to see Tai Shan, the precious baby boy panda who was born in July 2005. He was so cute. He bumbled around the exhibit happily and playfully. He looked both bigger and smaller than we'd expected, if that makes sense. The zookeeper held him up so everybody could get a good look at him, too.
We also loved how wild ducks kept getting into the flamingoes' heated pond, and how the two bird populations fought! We didn't see all the animals, but the ones we saw, we enjoyed a lot.
On the train ride home, our wives teased us, I alternately napped and talked, and my brother just bounced with excitement. He's seven years younger than me. It was like having the cute little boy I babysat back for a few hours.

I would trade in the day I wasted taking standardized tests to get into the school of education (they tested high school level proficency in reading and math and I didn't get into the school of ed anyway).
And I would trade it for a day that my girlfriend and I spent at a non-denominational neo-pagan/wiccan retreat. We go twice a year but this last time was really special. Just watching her dance to the drumming and participate in ritual made me feel so happy and proud and lucky and shiney. And we had great sex that evening ;-)

Tempting but there's a catch. We always add a rose tint to our past experiences - so I'd probably be disappointed that my "perfect" day was not quite as good as I'd remembered. I'd hate to sour any of the wonderful memories I've accrued to date so I'll pass.
And I have just lived through a VERY boring 24 hours!

Question: What does this have to do with being GLBT? I can answer this question and I'm not in one of those categories.
I'd relive any of my days in Mexico. Every single day I was there was an adventure and every day was more incredible than anything I've experienced here.

The first night my partner and I spent the night together, that was a great day/night for me/us. Last Friday was soooo boring, I would for sure trade that day for anything.

I think it's funny in a pathetic sort of way that you addressed a question to the people this section is supposed to be for ... then most of the answers are from people who don't fit.
And then they wonder why they never get invited to the secret parties.
